Unhappy First they take styling cues, now they take the wheels!! (Jag XF/Infiniti G37)

I was driving recently and saw a G37 from the rear and when I came to the side I was shocked to notice it had very similar tri-spoke wheels to my 450h The entire profile already looks like a 3GS so I was utterly stunned and disgusted quite frankly.

No joke recently I saw a black Jag XF which we all know took 3GS styling cues and it had a set of tri-spoke wheels as well!

I mean its one thing to take a similar profile from the GS but damn the wheels too? Is nothing sacred.

2009/2010 Jaguar XF optional wheels

I much prefer the XF styling to the G37 and I think the XF does look good but damn, the wheels too! Funny but Ian Callum the designer of the XF has been asked in mag interviews about how the XF looks like the Lexus GS.

Top Gear even had a small article on a long term XF they had where they brought a 450h to compare the two.

I guess imitation is the sincerest form of flattery but damn, I guess I need wheels?

Perhaps the wheel supplier is the same company and they just minimally altered the design to sell them?

What size is the G37? Looks like 17"s...

The Lexus wheel is better because one of the 3 spokes is chrome. But on the whole I prefer the Gs460 wheel. It conveys motion and power with a propeller like design, and I love the liquid graphite finish over the regular silver finish.

Wow..incredible. I've never even noticed this before. Regardless, I'm not a fan of these designs at all. I think the 06-07 3GS 18's and 08+ 3GS 18's are the best.

after looking at the 3 different wheels, i still think the GS450h wheel looks the best. the inner spoke of the tri-spoke in the infiniti is not chrome, and looks somewhat bland. the inner spoke of the tri-spoke in the XF is (or looks like) chrome, but is too skinny.
