z8 can be applied even if you have z2/5. your question seems a bit confusing, i don't know if you were trying to say if you need z8 if you already have z?

well technically the z6 is more like quick detailer (cleaner, the way i put it), and z8 is like a finishing glaze. but if you ask me, after trying both, the z8 maybe better but i won't say it's that dramatic, especially if the finish is pretty good to begin with. also, apply z8 can be tricky, especially if the panels are warm, you have to clean very fast otherwise streaks might appear. with the price doubled, personally i am ok with just sticking with z6

I use Meguiars NXT Tech Wax 2.0. It is excellent. Comparable to Zaino.

IMO, ZAINO all the way!!!

It is time consuming, but it is worth the effort (good excise too)!!!

I use Mothers 3 stage.
1) Pre wax cleaner
2) Sealer and glaze
3) Carnuba wax
It takes half a day to wash it and apply all 3 phases, but it looks pretty good.

i've got a 'Black Sapphire Pearl' GS aka dark blue, which is very swirl prone. This seems to reduce them, but in bright direct sunlight i can still see some at certain angles.

Anyone else do the the 3 phase?

btw the application pads and cloths you use to 'wax on wax off' are just as important as the product. I have used applicator pads, and microfiber cloths. I think i like the cloths better, and i reserve a specific cloth for each 'phase'.
