Hi, I am new to this forum and looking to purchase an 06 GS300 RWD with 65k miles. It is a very clean one owner car with all maintenance done at Lexus and no accidents. Since I am buying from a private owner, do you guys think it is absolutely necessary that I take it into Lexus to get an inspection before purchasing? I was thinking it may be safe to skip the inspection since the owner has all the lexus maintenance records. I would normally not risk it but i am traveling pretty far to pick up the car so it will be a hassle to get it done. Are there any specific things that I should look for that should have been replaced/fixed by 65k miles? Thanks in advance for your help!
it couldnt hurt since its not much money. even though they have all the records of things done, there could be some issues with things not fixed. for a peace of mind i would just have a local lexus dealer check it out real quick.
get a carfax, or autochecker or something like that, and ALWAYS have a mechanic check it out no matter what they say. You can't trust any one these days. that is my opinnion
the seller might think its a small problem, it might be a big one to you. just keep that in mind.

Actually almost nothing but catastrophic events show up on carfax. The vast majority of collisions are "fixed" without involving insurance companies due to deductibles and rate penalties.
