not necessarily. my ls460l and gs350, both were bled (completely, since i put on bbk) and no codes no nothing

it all depends on knowing what you do

Whats the procedure to do it? Just unscrew brake line and bleed it fully, put it new brake fluid and pump so that no bubble's in the system? Does every brake line need to be taken out and bled or just one is enough?

here's my tips on how to do it. do it on your own risk, i hold no liabilities. these instructions are not on any book, and i am not surprised if some people will come up with reasons to doubt. but all i can say is it worked on my cars, no codes thrown, and my cars have been driven just fine for some time

1) park on a level ground (obviously)
2) shut off car and do NOT engage parking brake
3) completely DISCONNECT the negative terminal on your battery.
4) jack up the car, take off wheels, and start bleeding
5) start from the brake that's furthest away from the reservoir, meaning passenger rear
6) then driver rear, passenger front, driver front
7) check from time to time to make sure reservoir is full.

you should not have to take out the brake line. you just open up the valves at each caliper independently and bleed through them

Sounds like a basic brake fluid change nothing special. Expect to disconnect the battery part. Thanks a lot for taking you time to write that, also if you remmember how much brake fluid was needed (bottle's, ounces).

One comment...absorbing of moisture by brake fluid not only can cause rust of the internals of the brake components, probably more importantly the moisture decreases the effectiveness and efficiency of the braking system. In cases where you may really need the brakes to be working right...they may fade and not be there for you!

Question---Do these systems require a pressure bleed and/or any other special bleeding of the ABS system? Anyone have the factory service info for brake bleeds on 3GS's?
