Default Vossen VVS-CV1 Rear wheels don't require a centric hubring?? Aready hubcentric? True?

Hey guys!
So received my 20" Vossen VVS-CV1's, and the centric hubrings that came with the wheels fit on the front rims, but not on the back. I contacted the shop I bought them off, and they found out that apparently the rear wheels are already hubcentric, and do not require any hubrings. The shop that installed the wheels seemed to have a bit of trouble centering the rear wheels. It also makes me wonder why they would ship 4 rings, if I only needed 2? Anyone know if the rear wheels from Vossen are actually hubcentric? Im doing the alignment soon, and want to make sure the rear wheels are on properly. THanks!

Unlikely they are hubcentric. Most of the 1 piece Vossen wheels are made to a "universal" hub in which the rings are needed, but not all the time to keep it from getting vibrations. It's complicated to explain, but that same rear wheel could fit on an Infiniti G37 and such.

Most mass produced aftermarket wheels are not hubcentric. They ususally are made with a large enough center bore to accomodate a multitude of applications. A hub ring is necessary for these "universal" applications. Custom multi-piece wheels is one of the only way to get a hubcentric wheel.

You will definitely need hub rings front and rear. Vossens that are 5x114.3 are most lkely 73mm hub bore. If that is the case you will need 73-60.06 (60.1).

I feel the same way. I am loving the wheels designs from them and frequently see them on nice cars.I love the rolled lips that Vossen uses. It looks like a higher end wheel. I l also have to say that this is the only brand of wheels that I have ever heard of where the company would be willing to mail a potential customer a single wheel for them to see the quality themselves. I will always respect Vossen for that. To me that says it all. Good customer service as well as a company that makes a great product and has a huge amount of pride and confidence in their products.

thats why i always recommend Vossen for people looking for cheaper wheels. Im not saying Vossen is cheap or their products are cheap, i'm just saying the cost is less then your typical Work wheel.

I like Vossen, but I can't imagine myself getting one of their wheels, then I changed my mind completely about the VVS-CV1. I want it!

hey envious, let me know when you got time for a mini meet. would love to check out your new wheels in person. maybe we can do a mini meet with 604GSh (and maybe a few others). btw, how do you like the ride on the nf210?

if i were you, i would contact vossen and confirm that you don't need hub rings for the rear wheels.

Since the question has been answered and the thread has headed this way, I'm going on the ride.

Ditto the above comment (half the comment....hate the cv1).
I like most of the Vossen designed wheels but can't really see myself ever buying a set now. Way too many people with them. That's the 1 piece.
I could own the multipiece but they are prolly priced out of my range. If the mono costs 2K the multi's must be expensive. Regardless how much money I have I don't believe in spending over 4K on wheels. I'd do a used set though.
