Default help with LED insall/ DRL

Hi all, I need some help. Hi, I installed the LED_Fog_9005_SKU45Xenon White 68-SMD 360-degree shine 9005 (aka HB3)) Hyper-Flux LED Bulbs for my head lights and drl, they were supposed to b white, but they look orange just like stock. Was I sent thr right bulbs, or is there anything I'm doing wrong?? Is a resistor needed. I'm trying to figure out if I miised anything, any help is appreciated.

Say that three times fast. Sounds like you just got orange LEDs. Stock bulbs aren't orange either, though.

Yeah i know stock bulbs are not yellow. its wierd cos the LED i ordered was supposed to be Xenon white 6000K. Is their any chance that a resistor is needed?? I know resistors are typically needed for flashers etc. I'll check with the manufacturer to figure out what bulbs where sent tho.

There is a ballast for LED? I thought only HID uses ballast to manage power.

From what I understand, LED bulb for DRL is just a replacement of the current bulb. I am guessing that bimori ordered the wrong kind. Contact them and find out.

It's not a ballst, DRL replacements require a relay module.

that is what I meant. A module. V-leds sells it. It is used because from factory our cars when DRL's are on, 50% of the power is cut. the module gives it the other 50% that the car from factory cuts. Something like that

I see, so when install LED you need this module to bypass the DRL and turn it into a full High Beam? (from what I understand the DRL is the high beam with half the power)

Can you see the LED on during the day?

Can someone with a GS430 '06 confirm that we do have a DRL? Mine only turn on the little light next to the High Beam light. None of the light mode I put it turn that high beam in half power.

I have an 06 Gs300 and when the lights are either on auto, off, or on the first click for the city lights the DRL's will be on

Your car probably has the DRL's disabled

Oh, didn't know it's possible to do that. O well.. don't need it during the day anyway cause my HID is on and look nicer.

Thanks SRGS i'll try to order the module from VLED. I ordered the LED's from ijdmtoy.com. Does anyone know if I'll need a module for the LED fogs too or they should work right off the bat without the relay module.

The fogs will work without modules. They are at full capacity. Direct swap
