Default Cross drilled and slotted Rotors

So for those with cross drilled and slotted rotors, do they squeal when cold??

Yes they make noise. The air blows through the little holes and makes a whistling noise instead of squeeking...

LOL, just joking... No they dont make noise, its your old shims that are vibrating making the squeeling noise. Make sure you change you pads and shims.

As far as cross drilled rotors DO NOT get them ! You are actually better off getting stock rotos or OEM ones. But if you want to choose go with Slotted. The air flows through the grooves to cool down pads and brush off brake dust slightly...

If you have a race car then go with drilled and slotted...

I don't agree. For heavy braking, slotted discs are better than drilled. Drilled rotors are known to crack.

However, if you want for normal road use, it doesn't matter! Just go with what looks good. I have drilled and slotted rotors, and they are perfect.

You dont agree with what ? Do you really think your rotors actually made a huge differrance than OEM rotors ? And yes the drilled ones do crack over time and expecially if you get cheap drilled rotors... In reality, the average person is better off getting OEM rotors...

Hi ReyRey

I don't agree with what you said about having a race car and going for slotted and drilled rotors.

My new rotors made a huge difference from OEM rotors. They don't squeal, and that's a huge thing for me you know!

I'm not an average person, if I was.. I wouldn't have riced up my Lexus.

Try brakeworld.com. I got my drilled and slotted rotors from them and they are top notch. As said above they stop far better and I don't have the squealing like I had before with the OEM rotors.
