Default Welcome lights

Does anyone know if the car can be programmed so when you walk towards the car, it senses the smartkey and the lights start glowing. Either the puddle lights, or the puddle lights and the parking lights?

Your car doesn't do that? Mine does that, don't have to touch the door.. the puddle light lights up when the keyless key is near. But I don't find it bright enough which is why I am looking into adding the handle light.

Mine doesn't do it. I was parked in a dark spot last night and I noticed that. I will have the dealer reprogram the feature at some point.

Car has to be locked for it to work. I thought mine wasn't working as I'm parked in the garage at home and don't lock it.

U can put some light under the car like Fast & Furious movie, hook it up to your welcome lamp.

Yep. The puddle lights are not nearly bright enough and don't activate nearly early enough while you walk towards the car to be useful for anything but the occasional "oh that's cool" from a passenger. Seems to be kind of picky about when they want to turn on, sometimes I'm right on top of the car before I notice them wake up.

I think the battery in my remote is weak, though the car isn't telling me that yet.

well you do realize if you want them to turn on from a farther distance, they activate when you unlock the car from the keyfob, otherwise theyre just suppose to glow when you're near the car.
