You can order the spark plugs for like $12 each or something like that from Sewell. 172 seems like an awful lot for just the parts.

im at 87k now, got my car back after only 1.5 days... ive already put 500 miles on it... they changed the spark plugs, washed the car and gave me a full tank of gas... seems to run smoother, but its probably the new spark plugs... havent received the $500 gift card yet. .... now that thats done, hopefully tommorow if i have time im going to get some new goodies installed.

Did you get a break on the labor for the plug installation, since the top of the engine was off for the valvespring replacement?

I had the failure a year before it became an official recall. If you don't want to do it that is fine just make sure that you have the roadside assistance number in your phone when you take a long trip.

am I too late to get a recall service? I purchased used 08' GS350 and just checked carfax thingy and couldn't find my car got the recall service.
So I'm gonna visit the dealership. What do you think about this? am I still eligible for the service? actually engine sounds like 80' ford f-150's with too much NVH.
Let me know please.

My 350,2007 on engine start it was making a rattling noise, took it in, they replaced actuators and it solved the problem.

good luck

Got the car back yesterday, so I might as well add my 0.2 cents. The car does run alot smoother now. Usually there would be a slight vibration when I am at the red light, but not anymore. And it feels kinda different too, not sure how to explain it Oh, and I did not get any gas from them *sigh

my dealer keeps bugging me to get it done. they must be hurting for money.
