What is the off-set of 18 inch wheel..?

Does anybody knows what is the off-set length if i am changing from my 17" standard wheel to a 18" standard wheel..? Thanks..!!!

If you're simply going from a 17 in wheel to 18, and maintaining the same width, you're going to have the same offset. If you're going to a wider wheel it will require a different offset. What wheels are you going for? OEM? Aftermarket? Where from?

Sorry that i did not make myself clear.
My original: 17" x 7.5J, 225/55/17 (dont know the offset)
Change into: 18' x 8J, 245/40/18
Pls advise what offset I should buy..? Thanks.
I hv not decided if I want to buy OEM or aftermarket, do you hv any suggestion for me pls..?
