Default Satellite radio question

For those of you with sat radio - do you get a 2 or 3 second delay when changing channels? Just wanted to know if this was normal.

Thanks.

No I would say 1 second at the most. 2-3 seems like a lot.

It's really strange. Most of the time, it's 2-3 seconds. Sometimes it's about 1 second. And sometimes the change is immediate.

I don't have a clue as to why this is. If somebody has any idea, please explain.

I get a minimal delay but I never timed it.
I can say that the delay is directly proportional all to the signal strength that I am currently receiving.

There is a delay, but it is about the same as changing channels on satellite tv. A second at most but not instant.

Was iit a factory installed satelite system or aftermarket Vais system. I just put in an aftermarket Sirius unit with Vais, and I get a second delay at most unless I'm in a parking garage or going under bridges or tunnels where i get zero reception but that is all normal. Love satelite radio!!!
