Parking in the Sun => Rattles?
I park in a garage both at home, and while at work. My car has virtually zero rattle. But the other day, I took it to a discount tire, and parked it under the sun without putting up the windshield visor. When I left there, it rattle quite a bit. But, the rattle is gone the next day, and hasn't come back since.
Is there anyone here with a dash rattle, and park in a garage both at home, and work?

Same for me. During the winter, I purposely park where it is sunny so that the interior of the car is warmed up. This really minimizes the winter rattles and creaking that I occasionally experience on rough road surfaces.

I used to get all my rattles in the colder winter months. Summer was a nice respite from the rattling.
After numerous complaints, Lexus Service took apart the entire dash 2 yrs ago and re-felted the dash and replaced all the pins. FINALLY -- no more rattles in the dash - whether it's hot/cold/warm/freezing. It was driving me cuh-razy! I was impressed with what they did -- took them 2 full days to complete the dash job -- all under warranty.

KEVGS460...totally understand what you are going through. I have a garage at home and covered parking at work and if its either hot or cold I get those annoying rattles. Mine specifically come from: sunroof (I believe it has something to do with the visor) and the other one is near the bottom of the drivers side seat. If I press down on my seat near my left butt cheek, I have that annoying creaking sound...not sure what that is. Anyone have any clue on how to get rid of it?
I don't have constant creaking but it happens periodically (1-2x per week?)...

I guess since the dash rubber is soft, heavy heat makes it softer, thus, move more.... I expect more fromLexus to make the cars dead quiet, i guess wrong. Wonder if the Mercedes is quieter since the publicity prone on that point.
