I guess I'm more of a function over form type. To me, the asymmetry of the new isn't as distracting as the redundancy of the old.
Lexus is just late to the party. As others have mentioned ... MB, BMW, Infiniti, Jag, Audi, etc. arrange their badging this way. We just aren't used to it yet.
However, if it's really your thing, you could always get a Panamera. "But honey, it was the only luxury sports sedan I could find that has symmetrical badging".
i am ok without the lexus badge. like others said, you don't see bmw and mb badges on their cars along with their emblems. when people see L, they know it's lexus already
