It's a U mount on my '06 GS430. Though the new design kinda lid cover covering this mount to make it look nice.
They are streak free when it's only water/rain and when the wiper rubber is new. But I find all of them to have streaks. You can clean the blade a bit to make it less streak.
I've tried Bosch Icon/RainX/ and right now Trico NeoForm... all about the same and seem the design is the same too, they all go for the single solid support. I don't see a huge improvement.

That's concerning. Maybe I should try PIAA Super Silicone in the OEM blade first, before looking at alternatives. The PIAA Inserts are 13 bucks for both blades.

I've tried Silicone before on my Camry... it was the Triple Blade brand. The main selling point for me was the life time warranty.
Anyway, I found that no matter how clean I clean my windshield it was sticky. Seem like the Silicone sticks to the glass itself. It form a jerking movement when it wipes and make creepy sounds.
But what was weird was when I go back to rubber the movement was still not smooth. I use the RainX stuff to clean my windshield to help but it was still not smooth. It "jump" right the end of the sweep before it go back.
Just my own experience... I have no PHD degree in car wiper blade.

My pet peeve with silcone based blades is the freaken noise they start to produce later. They start to stick when the oil dries up and they start to make window farting noises as they wipe. Every silcone one I'd used did that and it's completely annoying. They last a long time but I had to toss them because they were just too damn annoying. Oem blades have a gray Teflon coating along the edge so the blade glides across the windshield quietly while still wiping very clearly. I stuck with oem Lexus ones, they were cheap enough and works good.
