Default problems with the fob

i have a 2006 gs300 and my fob doesn't work sometimes. sometimes i have to take the fob apart to start my car. anyone else having this problem or have a fix for me????

What do you mean take it apart? It's probably that the battery is not seated correctly. Even with no battery at all, you should be able to start the car just by holding the fob close to the start button.

i mean open it and move the battery around. cant even open the door or use the pad to unlock or lock. when i go in the car with the key it doesnt even detect the key. i tried pushing the key to the start button but nothing happens.

have you replaced the battery? mine didn't work sometimes either, and new battery fixed it. mine is 08 too, didn't think it will die so quickly..

Yeah sound like you need a new battery both of my fobs went out in 2-3 years

BTW, I bought new batteries from Radio Shack - much less than at Lexus, FWIW.
