LEDS just seems to be bright in photos.
The Luminous Intensity of LED is much less then Halogen or HID...

Take a look at this picture.

Right - stock halogen.
Left - V-LEDS (Total Luminous Intensity: 400 lm)

Man, that V-LED looks awesome!!!
That is what I have been wanting all along! To replace the horrid yellowish color of the original DRL

Where can I get them? You have to remove the front bumper to install them?
Does it affect the high beam function or visibility?

Default Vled as drl and high beams

I was unclear on sthe comparison of thr vled vs. the HIR ias a drl and high beam. Are there any compromises between the two?

The VLED is useless as a high beam. You wouldn't see any more light. It is like not having a high beam. The H1R is the brightest high beam you can get.

As a DRL VLED is whiter, but also in rain, etc. it will be far less visible than the H1R.

Basically aftermarket LEDs for high beam or fogs are just decoration. They don't produce enough light to improve visibility.

This is why serious drivers either just stick with halogen, or put in H1R high beams and HID fogs like me.

Yeah, I want it basically for "the look" my car will have in the day.
I almost never use the high beams, but the DRLs are on all the time I use the car.
And I already have HID fogs, so it is to complete the "whiter look" of the car.

The V-LEDs at the site say they are for older GS, but they work for our generation? plug n play? bumper has to be removed?

Yes that's the one, but make sure you get the LED DRL Kit not just the bulbs!! The new kit will work on our GS without any problem!

HI all,

I am planning to update my headlights a bit of my Facelifted 2098 3GS.

I have D4S Xenon @4300 Kelvin on the low beams, but halogen, HIR1 bulbs on the high beam.

My question is : in order for me to match the color, I need to find HIR1 @ 4300 Kelvin. There are some solutions with HIR2 halogen bulbs. Would they fit? What might go wrong, and is that a solution?

Thank you.
