Has anyone seen this before? Looks very interesting.

That cable looks crazy short to actually reach the port. Also it seems like it requires you put a big ugly sticker on the winter so it has something to project onto visibly. Graphics are kind of ugly...

I think this one is an easy pass.

Thanks batman. Informative review, albeit it most of his cons would be irrelevant if you have left-hand drive like we do in NA.

What killed it for me is the fact that it projects onto a tinted piece of window film you have to stick on your windshield. Forget it.

Did happen to notice that there are a number of Android and iPhone apps that will show a reverse image of your speed, time, compass, trip odo, etc. on the display so that you can read the reflection on the windshield. Would be interesting to try out a free version.

Some of the iPhone apps look pretty cool like these, but I'm sure it's clearer with that window film though:

I've looked at these iPhone apps, and while the tech is nice, the hardware solution is totally inappropriate for a HUD. It's a waste of time imo. Just lacks the brightness to be effective, plus I don't really want to stick it to the windshield or velcro the phone to the dash.

Interesting idea. Looks fun for night/dark road driving. I always find the display a bit too bright when driving on very dark road, I adjust the instrument light to the lowest before the whole thing turn off. I even turn off the instrument light a few times just to see but find it too 'weird' not seeing my speed and other indicators... of cause I set the cruise and was cruising so I knew the speed.

Seems like they need to iron out a few issues.

i would prefer the Defi VSD over this, too bad it's discontinued. I think one in BMWs even shows navigation directions (left, straight, right arrows) which i thought pretty cool..
