I knew that when they replaced my steering wheel for 1200 dollars. The wood was fine but I had a little gap between the leather and the wood.

Now if they can get rid of the rattles

Great post, only if they took that much time to make everything else so perfect in the car.

I have learned to ignore and accept rattles. it's already over 3 years old; can't expect it to remain perfect, so i don't care anymore.

This is an interesting article, because now it's clear that if you don't like your black with red walnut, you can refinish and dye it any color you want.

Every Lexus since 1989 has used real wood. Fake wood (Plood) belongs in non luxury cars.

The CT will be the first car to offer Bamboo inside.

Great article, thanks for sharing.

bamboo is cheap. that's what they make disposable chopsticks out of.

i would never want bamboo in my car.

my position is- either be a treehugger and not kill any plant at all, or go all out and use the best wood possible.

Wood is also cheap, that's what ppl throw into the fire just for heat.

I'm curious to see the bamboo. It's possible to be tasteful if it's done properly.

Well some hybrid owners do. The new Lexus hybrids continue to include environmentally friendly products making themselves more recyclable. Thus the CT debuts with bamboo.

The market is different. And its real bamboo, some other brands would throw in fake bamboo

^ rofl I was looking all over and wondered "where did they hide the bamboo?" I was expecting a lot more, and like on the steering wheel too.
