Hi, would like your opinion!

I found my preferred ones by searching the forums above (truth in detailing, meguiars online) and also autopia.org. These are the top detailing forums. Look for before and after examples. The second rate detailers don't have examples like the ones I posted above. You can also call Swissvax USA and ask for their suggestion.
You should also visit them, ask them to look at your car and give a quote. Ask for "paint correction". If they don't know what that means then they aren't good. Also look out for stuff I mentioned above about clean cloths, pads etc. See if they use wool pads or foam pads. If they have a foam cannon. These are signs of professionals.
Also check if the shop owner works on the cars. All the best shops I know, the owner will work on the car especially if it's a tough case like yours.
Final thing - look at owners car out front. All the best detailers favorite color is black. Black is a pain to maintain but if you're a professional detailer you drive black and your car is stunning with a flawless finish. It's no coincidence Henrys GS is black.

Is there a way to take out the 06 nav unit and replace it with the newer beautiful bright screens?

It also depends on how deep the swirl marks are in the clear. If the mark are really deep then the car msut be recleared and cut and buffed. I think I would take it back to were the damage was done and have them pay for it. I understand that the process for repainting a entire car is very expenisve but if you have a good painter and stay on top of thier work then it can come out better than a factory paint job.

Looks like black is just difficult to keep up. When I bought mine I did not notice swirlls until I had if for a few washes and the wax wore off. I have to wax mine every month (by hand no high speed buffing) to keep it from excessive swirling in the bright sun. Love the car but I think I will never have another black car again. Too much trouble. If it aint white it aint right!
