Post Powertrain Warranty Extension to 100K miles

Hi all, I just received a letter from Lexus indicating that our GS powertrain warranty has been extended to 100K miles due to the recent valve spring replacement. Has anyone gotten this letter yet? Also they sent me a coupon for $1,500 for any purchase or lease of a new Lexus within a year. Impressed about Lexus' quality customer service!!!

By the way, I purchased extended warranty from Lexus before upto 100,000 miles. So I just emailed Lexus to extend my extended warranty another 30,000 miles accordingly. Will keep you posted on that. Wish me LUCK!

i didn't get any letter.

100k miles and how many years?

it would be nice to have 10yr/100k miles.

going by 6yr/70000, that would mean at least 8 years/100000, no?

That's awesome! So does that mean that buying CPO is pointless because their (Lexus) selling point is 3yrs/100k (total miles)?

I'll be on the look out! That would make me reconsider trading her in.

I just looked at the LS thread and the extended powertrain only covers additional miles not years, so it wouldn't help me at all really anyway (even if they did extend it to everyone) as I don't plan on extending over my mileage before my powertrain runs out.

It shouldn't matter if you bought the car from a homeless person as long as you registered the car properly.

current factory power train warranty is 6yr 70k miles

on the letter it says 6yr 100k, but it's very confusing coz' i don't get it if it's extended warranty starting now (on both time and miles), or the time period stays the same, but miles extended to 100k? if it's the latter case, it doesn't make much sense
