I want to install a new throttle body to restore car to original performance
After dealer serviced my car at 35K and also recommended to do throttle body and fuel injection service, my car do not perform as it used to. My rpms and throttle response are low unlike before. I took it back to the dealer but they claimed the car was performing "according to specifications". I don't care what anybody says as I know exactly how my car has been performing over the last 3 years. I want to ask the service manager to have a new throttle body installed since the technician might have messed up something. Or should I just report the issue directly to Lexus for a recourse?

But really, I don't think that it is possible that your car is idling at around 0 RPM... It would be running very rough and even an incompetent tech would know that it idling abnormally...

It seems like low idles issue is Lexus wide. I have a second generation GS430 that has this problem. It looks like Lexus has never fixed it even in 3rd generation!!! This is a very common issue in second generation GS. If it's really low when you in 'D' without ac or your lights on then there is an issue. If you still have warranty on it have these suckers replace it!
