The dealer had turned the floor mats over when I first saw my car, and I continued the practice. I'll reverse them when (if?) I decide to sell/trade it.

Congrats. You did very well on the price. I have a 2008 GS460 with 10k miles and I was offered 36k on trade in by Infiniti dealer 2 weeks ago.

Why? You realize that you can get a brand new set of mats for just $70 from Sewell? You might as well enjoy the mats than leave them for the next owner to enjoy.

Congrats on your purchase! Search the forums, there is a chip you can install for about 300-ish that will let you override that. I'm blanking on the name of it at the moment...
