It was a beautiful warm evening today and the way home cruising in the GS with the windows open and the sun roof open I saw these beautiful hot air balloons .....again. The first time I got lucky enough to catch these beauties taking off it was later in the day and the lighting was worse.(not that its good here at all ). Just figured I would share some pics.

couple of shots of the balloons. Its really cool to see them in person and here the sound of the flames as the float into the horizon. They landed right near my house. My dogs go crazy when they see them floating right over the houses. Its hilarious. Its like watching someone see a UFO.lol

I know the shots aren't very high quality but I literally pulled over and just started shooting. The pics have to be taken quickly because when they lift off they are getting smaller by the second. It was funny because I was cruising while on the phone with my dad and told him I needed to get off the phone to shoot some pics. When I finally found a street to pull over on there were alreadt 3 other people pulled over to take pics. I ended up in the direct end of the day sunlight . This created some glare issues plus the shots dont seem that clear. Not sure why but I am sure they are cool to look at. Most people have never even seen a hot air balloon let alone to see 4-5 taking off in front of you and floating over your head and into the distance. Pretty cool thing to catch.

Thanks buddy. I wish the lighting was better ....oh yeah I also wish I didnt have to scramble to take the pics. I guess I am even lucky I caught them just as they were taking off

It must be easy to just park your cars in the middle of the streets down there in AZ that all I see is cars parked in the middle of the intersection all the time in photos lol.

YUP!!! Lots of empty roads and no traffic. Its a heaven for serious speeders. Kinda like Nevada

When I took these shots it was so quiet I could hear the blood flowing in my ears. Also if you think you can see a long way in the pictures its pretty the same flat open road as well. Seems crazy to stop in the middle of a highway with a speedlimit of 50mph but only if there are other cars on the road. I could see a car at least 1 mile in the distance.
