I'd like to say HI to you all. This CL site is so great with a lot of useful informations from knowledgeable members on here. BTW, my cool mod is CCFL for a used GS 460.

Does it automatically switch on/off when open/close the trunk?

Yes, it does. You just need to tap it to the trunk light wires. With these lights, now i don't have to dig in the trunk to look for anything in the dark.

Cool.. that would really help. Where did you get the light from?

Very interested in where you got this. Did you install yourself? Thanks, looks great!

Thanks for the nice comments guys. I got the lights from freebay, lol. They were originally designed for computer case decoration and they come from different colors: blue, red, green or white.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

As you all see, the little transformer has wires attached to a plug which is ready plug into the ps power supply 12Vdc.

You don't need all of those wires, all you need are the red and black wires so cut them off to where they go to the plug to have enough length and toss the rest.

Then strip off the end insulation and solder both red and black wire to the trunk light. Wires are polarized so if the lights don't come on then switch both wires around.

I was able to hide the transformer and wires between the cover and the deck to make a clean look and hang CCFL up to where the grocery hooks are.

In fact, you can install these CCFL anywhere, any places or any cars as long as they have 12Vdc source.

Thanks. You're right. I just added a couple of extra LEDs in parallel with both front foot wells LEDs to increase the light output a bit more. I can't stand in the darkness very well being with the black interior. Rear seat foot wells & inside door handles might be next ... easy first.

Great job, i would like to see how they look without the lights on, see exactly how much they hang and how clean the jobs looks.
