Default Hit a raccoon on my way to work

I hit a raccoon on my way to work and broke my drivers side foglight.

My local Lexus dealership wants $388.00 for a replacement

Question: Are there any aftermarket kits that would be an upgrade and respectable looking?

Another reason not to lower the 3GS? I'm pretty sure I could run over dogs all day long with my car. :P

check out the junk yard or places on line maybe could do 175 for it used ebay may have some but not for $2100. I can get you some from Japan and see how much they would be it you want. Have some family over there.

Those ebay ones are JDM with LED but I wouldn't pay for them. If you search ebay are selling them for around 100 bucks not bad...

The car definitely won the battle. The only damage to the car was the broken mounting tab on the fog light. The light still works however the mounting bracket broke off on one side.

I think I am going to buy a used fog light on ebay and hope it is good condition.

Should be covered under your comprehensive insurance, which does not affect your premium when filing a claim. Some have a deductible. The company I am with offers "0" deductible, with no increase in premium.

agreed. when a deer ran into my car it was covered under insurance with no increase on my policy. if you have more damage than the fog light bracket, this may be the way to go.
