Default Engine Swap/Turbocharge?

I didnt find any other thread on this, so sorry if this has been asked already. I have an 06 GS300, w/ HKS exhaust and HKS intake. Still not enough power. Is there any ECU i could buy w/ a turbo (A universal turbo maybe?) orr could i swap out the engine and replace my 3.0L V6 with something else? sorry haha im kinda new at engine mods. I am actually willing to spend around 10K on this
(Im looking to get ~ 400 HP at least, gotta race those STi's on the road )

Toms makes a turbo kit, however I have heard that there were issues with it cause you can t crack the ecu on this car. You can always get a 2nd gen gs and turbo that motor or do the motor swap on it! (THIS IS MY NEXT MOVE)

What about the universal turbo kits? (Stuff like turbokits.com, ststurbo.com, etc.) If i get a Universal twin turbo kit, get it professionally installed, what could go wrong? its like a supra engine in my lexus

Not too sure if it would be worth it unless you can adjust more than just fuel. Im sure you can get an ApexI SAFC and manipulate the MAF signal but I would only trust that for 1 - 2 Lbs of boost and that wouldnt even be worth the money. For anything more than that you can probably go Greddy eManage or the AEM solution if that would even work on these cars...

Does anyone know how they tuned these cars with the Toms kit and the old Greddy kit for the GS430???

This is from L-tuned website: ** Toyota genuine part number 89661-30330" and both mentions of DENSO parts number "275100-4052" or "275100-4053" comes to support it only., if you do not have this part number on your current ECU, the compressor will not function properly, exchange unit must be sent in to reprogram** http://www.l-tunedparts.com/product/?id=2485

The motor in this car is nothing like a supra motor, the supra motor is a inline 6 we have a v6 na motor, I'm no expert but what I have heard is there is no comparison the the 1 & 2jz motors.

Just enjoy the car for what it is, a mainly trouble free nice looking vehicle that doesn't race but is more than enough to get around with some authority.

Adding anything to it for power that introduces chances of things going wrong just seems counter intuitive for this brand.

But i feel like the 3rd gen GS has so much potential, especially with it's aerodynamic design/ect power, and trans. It's just that they put a weak V6 in there and an impossible to crack ECU so they eliminate most possibilities. The 2nd gen GS300 was a race beast, so why cant the 3rd be?

So i basically have 2 choices for universal twin-turbos. 2 T28 Turbos or 2 STS Turbos. Which one is better?

Or a 300C SRT-8 or anything else if just going fast is what you're after, lol. Scratch that, just spend $10K on a motorcycle.

well its not the V6 i'm unhappy about. It's the fact that the 2006 model GS300, which i have (3.0L V6 245 HP) is ESPECIALLY slow for a car this heavy. I would be happy even with a gs350. Im just looking for a way to make it as fast or faster than that without having to sell and buy another car

Dude, it's not that slow. I get the whole psychological thing, being that it says 300 on the back instead of 350 and all... but really, it's not worth spending tons of money to try to get an extra half a second off the 0-60 or something.
