The amount they gave although it's market value, just doesnt seem fair! that sounds like a loss on a car that (i assume) you bought new for around 50k! Glad your safe and happy with it, i must admit, they seemed quick with the check! Good Luck!

I paid 46,xxx back in late 2008, brand new...only had 10 miles on it. I thought the 40K was very generous. If they had gone with Edmunds....it would have only been like $35K

So in all, for 26 months of driving it, I lost $6K. I certainly would not have gotten 40K from a dealer, or private seller for that matter. It's behind me. I'm looking forward to the new car and forgetting this awful ordeal.

strictly from a price point of view, you can't possibly get a better deal

now it's just time to look for another replacement personally i would vote against 3gs. i just don't see the point of owning the same car twice. since you are spending the money, why not try something else like ls

i see....6k for that amount of time isnt bad at all! When i was looking at a brand new 2009 AWD (Loaded no M/L) it would have came out to $53k including TTL.
You got a good deal! Twice!

I agree with rominl, I would probably look for something else. The new 5 series maybe or perhpas the new MB E-class. If you really want to stay with Lexus, then I'd get something really cheap for now and wait for the 4GS

It's unbelievable. He drove that car for $250. Month for 2 years.

I agree with Rominl. I would suggest looking at either the LS460 or BMW 550.

now is a really bad time to buy a car.

the germans are in their first model years.
and all the lexus models are getting stale, with new models coming in 1+ year.

Maaaan, I'm late to the party, but I am glad that you're ok. I hate to say it at your expense, but that makes me feel much better about the safety of these cars. Or, it reaffirms my thoughts.
