yup it's about that time and fortunately I am blessed to have a great girlfriend. She wants to buy me a ipod adapter for my GS since it is lookn like a hot mess with that cassette adapter.

So im thinking Vaistech VML since its digital quality audio and seems to be 100 cheaper since the last time I saw it (from 350 to 250). I have the 10 speaker non-ML 06' GS and the 120gb Ipod classic from like 2009.

My questions. Should I get the one thats 15 bucks more so i can have the option to use a USB if...i mean when my ipod breaks (this is my 3rd ipod, 1st one broke, 2nd one stolen ******in NY!)

And I've seen the installs on it,

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...edition-2.html

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...-pictures.html

but I'm still skeptical because i thought it was kinda tough to install the fog lights LOL. Do you guys think a shop that specializes in sound systems can do this without effin up the wood trim and what not? and what would be a reasonable price? Or should I just drop my ***** and go for the install, even though i prolly don't have the tools (in the first link i pasted, wtf is a dremmel?)

Let me know what you guys think.

no, the 15 bucks is for the cable if you want to install hard drive. if you only care about usb/ipod, you don't need that cable.

the installation isn't too bad. i wouldn't say it's very hard, but it's pretty straight forward. i take apart the console so many times already

Don't know what a Dremel is? Really? What's with men these days not having tools, it's a disgrace! :P

Fortunately you don't need a Dremel, all you need is a screwdriver and I think a 10mm socket wrench.
