Default How to properly secure aftermarket sideskirt? (video inside)

My GS has aftermarket skirts...fitment is fine but only 1 thing about it bothers me which is showed in the video.

the skirt is securely fastened in the front and rear wheel wells but the center of the skirt isnt securely tightened against the car so whenever my passengers step out the car their foot catches against the skirt and sounds like its gonna break if enough force is put against it. watch the video below to see what i mean. if push it against the car, its perfectly fine so im trying to think of a way to securely fasten it..

Who installed it for you? Cause body parts are usually stuck on using adhesive material.

That looks terrible. It would drive me insane to have something that loose on the car.

carson just warps over the oem. I think it has 5 tap screws under the weather strip and 2 bolts on each end. only down fall was they didnt cut out for the jack but that was any easy fix for me.

just watched the video...looks like they took off the oem part. that is what u need to adhere or bolt to,

yeah if that's the case, seems like the previous installer didn't know better and took off the oem side skirts. do now there is nothing to adhere this to

that's a huge gap you need the oem side skirts to make it work we riveted mine when we just did mine plus added some kitty hair to even the front side out on the inside. check on eBay or the web shouldn't be that expensive

Installer got paid to put these on, and got paid again when he sold the OEM skirts. Good deal for him.

i double checked these just now and the OEM skirt is indeed still intact and the carson wrapped over. the installer didnt put enough pressure on the skirt when mounting them around the wheel wells so it created a gap. i had my buddy put pressure on them against the body as i drilled and the gap is minimal but i still need to buy some super strong double sided tape for the area between the 2 mount points (basically the whole skirt) and it'll sit flush and golden. when the doors closed it looks perfect even without the adhesive
