As mentioned in the aforementioned thread, there is no software override for 2007 and up. You need a physical override - which can be achieved either by following the wire cutting instructions in that thread or by installing an override kit such as the Prestigious Society kit or the Vaistech SL2iC. Wire cutting voids warranty, the kits do not.

Is the PS override rendered redundant by your new Vais adaptor or is it still useful for when Vais is not in use?

Yup, I did one myself on my 2008 GS350, requires NAV unit removal and small switch installation. Also fixes the phone in motion. Search this forum there are lots of stickies.

i am still working on final details on that, but in terms of operation, ps override is easier to use. and i also have to double check on the factory dvd, etc...

holding the info button and then click the lights on and off 3 times works to access those menus!

None of the cars have motion override through service menu. I think only the 2006 had an override which could be achieved by pressing invisible buttons on the screen. For 2007 and recent that doesn't work either.

The only useful feature in the service menu is adjusting the bluetooth sensitivity.
