thanks for the input romanl and username32. Im thinking the gs350 brakes will be my best bet. hey rominl i remember seeing your gs on this forum for sale a while ago. still got the stock brakes?

Also...Are the rotors on the gs350 brakes the same size as the gs300? or is that smaller as well?

The GS300 Rotors from what i understand is 12.2" and the GS350 is 13.1", and most importantly the GS350 caliper is much larger and is a 4 pot design.

There are many brands to chose from like Endless (also makes the Tommy Kaira kits), Project Mu, AP, Brembo, Stoptech, are all fantastic brands.

Only gripe i have with Stoptech is their powder coated finish is a bit fragile being a caliper, spray any brake cleaner or spill a little brake fluid on the finish and its game over.
umm, very true. interesting you brought up the finish on the stoptech, of all the brakes i have had, stoptech was the ONLY one i had problem with paint. the valve opening, where brake fluid can easily get a few drips out when bleeding, did have some finish peeling by the time i sold it

i can't wait to try endless, that's one brand i haven't tried. but i wonder when i will own another jdm car that's worth putting endless on (given the price)

i ended up decided not to sell the car for various reasons. i do have a set of almost brand new ls460 brakes (calipers + pads + rotors). even larger calipers however the bracket doesn't fit. you are free to make your own adapters

Lets not forget he'd have to get some custom rotors because the LS460 is a 5x120 pattern

damn i pmed a guy who i saw is selling his gs350 that has bbks on and extra stock brakes, no response for almost a week.. I wonder if Sewell is the only way to go.

I also wonder if the tirerack.com blue caliper paint is similiar to the f sport blue calipers. anyone know?
