Out of the blue a $500 debit card

I just got the letter and certificate also. But I already have the platinum extended warranty good for 6 yrs/ 100k miles. Would I have to call Lexus corporate to change that to the gift card?

I was able to order some stuff from v-leds.com last night with my $500 Lexus card! I got really excited, but today it was denied when I tried it at Macy's.
I just set the pin, I'm going to try once more and run it as debit. Fingers crossed.

Mine's all spent, bought an updated Nav DVD and a oil filter door cover (don't know where mine disapeared to) for the GSh, motor and trans mounts for the 2GS and a few other parts my dad needed for his SC400 and LS400. Total bill was over $500 so the card was used up quickly.

WTF. I never got a letter like that.
you said you did NOT buy an extended warranty, and they offered you $500 ?
I'm calling lexus to find out what's up.
edit: Ok. I called lexus, and they're backlogged with these letters, so we on the best coast haven't received this offer letter yet.
also, they said the $500 is ONLY for those people who bought an extended warranty previously. So I dunno how ek9vboi was offered the $500.
the chitty thing is, I asked if I could trade the stupid 6yr/100k powertrain for the $500 gc instead, since i won't even reach half that mileage during 6 years.........., and they said no.
So, all I get out of this is a useless $1500 discount, a useless extended warranty, and a bunch of inconvenience, like the letter says.
Yeah I'm bichin..... so what.

i called to cancel my extended warranty a week or so ago bc i sold my car. i hope this isnt the refund i am owed bc they said i was owed prorated $700+. so i hope this is just a separate random gift.

Lexus Customer Satisfaction emailed me today and told me that they had some issues which they were working to get corrected, but that all gift cards will be emailed out by the end of February.

I don't know if anyone else is still waiting for their gift card. I was told it would go out by End of Feb, and it didn't. Now they are telling me end of March.
I'm wondering if they made a mistake since as a new car customer I should probably have recieved the extended warranty.
Either way, hoping it comes soon. These guys really did a botched process on these gift cards and warranties. Yet another experience of Lexus Corporate coming across as disorganized and sub-competent. Still at least they try, BMW's NJ HQ just tell you to **** off.

ive been reading so much latley about lexus recalls yet i have had my lexus for 2 yrs and never once did i get any recall letters in the mail is that odd or is it because i never take my car to the dealer ?

They might not have your address. are you registered on the Lexus owners website?
