If you get any of those German makes you better have some long extended warranty to go with that unless you got some deep pockets.
^^on a reliability stand point, i agree 100% on every word.

as a long time Porsche afficionado, ive always given the same advice that you mentioned.

BUT, the Porsche driving experience is priceless, and ultimately addicting despite all the issues (which can be between $ - to $$$$$).....that extra descretionary income is what counts most.

I regret trading it in for the Lexus. I never had one issue with any BMW I leased in the past either. Both my Lexus have been sub-par IMO with the rattles and various issues. Not sure if I will get another Lexus after the GS.
Statistics would say otherwise. Look at truedelta.com

I have generally found that the statistics in general show that Lexus is ahead, but in grand scheme of things the difference is small. In general when people talk about having terrible experiences, it is often just that the person was unlucky.

Based on my experience with my last BMW, nobody would buy that brand. But it can't have been normal.

Porsche C is crap. also ugly, imo. New model is hell of an improvement and looks great.
RR Sport reliability is beyond crap.
X5 = built in USA. enuff said.
ML = same as X5.
GX470 = reliable, dirt cheap maintenance, 3 years I've owned this never had a problem except for driveshaft TSB and replaced trasnfer case under warranty.

I never had a problem with my Audi S4(B7). Ok that's a lie...I had to get few coil packs replaced under warranty but same story with M3. Other than that, S4 was solid.
