K how about you get a CLUE........ http://www.honda.com/newsandviews/ar...d=200707112298 scroll down to Direct Injection. Here is the original quote from that website
"Direct-Ignition System
Instead of a distributor, the S2000 engine uses a computer-controlled direct-ignition system with individual high-voltage coils located at each spark plug. The spark plugs have non-fouling platinum tips for long life." I would do some research before you tell me to get a clue.

This is really a non-issue as far as I'm concerned. Once you drive the car for a while, you shouldn't even hear it. Unless you're determined to.
A lot of electric car owners complain that their cars don't make enough noise. Manufacturers including Toyota have actually started to produce noise generators to address the "problem".

Wow ... I can't imagine the noise you must have.
GS350=303 HP
Assume 1 hamster can pull 2oz at 1 ft/second for as long as you want him to:
1Hp =550ft-lb/s
1hp =0.125ft-lb/s
Ratio =4,400
4,400 x 303= 1,333,200 hamsters.

If the engineers at Toyota/Lexus can't get the noise to go away, what makes you think you can? Wrapping anything in the engine is a scary way of voiding your warranty and possibly causing a fire. They have designed the car so the noise is less than what it really can be thanks to acoustics in the firewall and cabin. Read up on it and you will find a lot of answers on this. It is a noise that I didn't like at first until I drove the car all day on the highway and am getting 30 mpg. In a 303 hp big seadan......I'll deal with the noise!

I was walking by an Audi (forget if it was an A4 or 6) and was happy to hear the all so familiar ticking noise. I'm so used to the noise now that it doesn't even bother me. Now the other creaks and rattles...that's another issue.

I think not too many complain or bothered to fix it because you can't really hear it inside the car running. You only hear it with windows open in the garage or next to a wall. I hear more complaints about dash rattle then injector ticks

They should make the sound that the motorcycle in Star Trek makes.

I've come to love the sound. It's pure Lexus. I think it's going to be the wave of the future.
