reduced acceleration yes ( but that will be about the same with a 9.0" wheel unless you are on a track). As far as added understeer that is incorrect. The added width will increase front end traction and actually reduce understeer assuming you increase spring rates slightly and you dont destroy the inside of the fenders with that insane front tire. Staggered fitment can create more understeer, but will reduce the chance of oversteer. Understeer is safer than oversteer on the streets

I think the car rides much better, much more planted with non-staggered wheels. When I ride stock, I drive more sporty. My first set of wheels for this GS, I went with same width all around and the car rode much sweeter. I agree with doing this.
I don't agree with 10 in for the front. Why push it. 20x9 all around should give you some pretty deep lips. If that doesn't work with the wheel you select, go 9.5. WHy the insistence on 10?

It just so happens the wheels i was looking at are offered in 8.5" and 10".

I thought so. Too many guys have bought something that didn't fit right because that's what size it came in. If you can't find wheels with better fitment, save up to get wheels that can be customized the way you want.

My car handles turns significantly better with the wider rim and tire on the rear, there is more rubber to grab the road why wouldn t it??

10 inch front will fit!
do your maths in your head,
If the 9.5 with low offset fits and on lowered springs, your car at stock height will easily fit them.
but it will look so strange not lowered with a 4inch lip.

If you want 4" or even 5" lips, it can be done. Why in the hell would you want a 20x10 in the front? Are we being serious about "do what I want to do cause I wanna be different"? Custom wheels, different lip configurations and offsets are endless.

There are factors that need to be taken into consideration. Such as, will the faces clear the brakes with a 4/5" lip? Offset is key, but you still have to think about clearance with brakes and other suspension parts. It's common sense. Nobody said 20x10 in the front wouldn't fit or maybe they did but the problem comes up when you try to turn the steering wheel or in this case, maybe put the wheel on and it's hitting the caliper. Sure, 20x11 will fit as well on a stock car, anything is possible.

I'll admit, I've pushed some limits and still continue. I'm not the leader as Mr. Mark, Henry and a few others but I have done a few things differently and did it correctly. Well, sort of. lol

Just the thread I was looking for. I am looking for at doing something similar as montz450. I love the look of the Vossen VVS082 Wheels. But I want the same size lip on the back as the front. The lip on the Vossen vvs082 on the 20x10 wheels is sick. Would love to see a rim with a deep lip like that in a non-staggered set up. I really wouldn't care if the wheel was a 20x8 or and size above as long as it has a deep dish/lip.

Good luck getting a four inch lip on the front unless you get something dumb wide up there
