Exclamation 06' GS 300 Headlight problem

Hello Everyone,
i have an 06' GS and i have recently been having a problem with my drivers side HID going out after it is on for roughly 30 seconds. if i turn the headlight off/on it will power on but turns right off again. Does anyone know if this is the bulb of the balace "sp", or the bulb? Also where is the cheapest place to get these parts.

It's called a ballast and it's probably the bulb. Search the forum there's 300 posts on this subject just in this subforum alone.

Easy check, switch the bulbs. Turn it on and see which one will go out.

If problem follow the bulb, than it's the bulb.

If problem doesn't follow the bulb, than you will need a new house. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

No.. house as in bed, kitchen, etc.

I'm very sure it's the bulb.

Joseph,
i did resolve the problem. i bought the correct bulb on ebay for around $10.00. However it was brighter than the existing bulb so i would recommend buying two.

Once you get the bulbs they are relatively easy to install.. just remove the side plastics under the hood and you should see where the bulb is. it goes in the side of the headlight

you should always just replace both bulbs anytime you need to replace a bulb

At least you should if you drive a somewhat nice car... theres a lot of things you should do on a junker that I just wouldn't bother with. :P
