Recently changes flank V-LEDs bulbs to these one - 5K-WHITE-SMT-X5
I like them more then flank bulbs, cuz they have more viewing angle, and have 1 LED shining forward. (much better look in day time!)

So from now on I recommend them instead of flank bulbs

I personally think the Flank bulbs are better and brighter. The Flank is rated Higher Output

I compare those two bulbs. There's not too much difference in brightness. 80 lm versus 50 lm. Yep, ofcourse a little bit brighter flank bulbs but as I said flank bulbs shine only downwards (120 degrees), so bulbs with viewing angle 300 degrees much better in day time.

The difference in brightness is not well noticeable.

I bought them with flank bulbs long time ago. For me better (time and money) to get them all at once than one by one.

Do these 5k parking bulbs match the oem hid low beam lights or do I have to upgrade the bulbs to 5k bulbs? If so what brand 5k bulbs match good?

Thanks

I recently put back original Philips in low beams, so I have some pics. There are several pics I'll post to show how it matches the low beams.

Thanks. Looks like the parking lights have a slight blue to it compared to the 4300k oem hids. Is this so in person? How did it match when you had the 5k low beams? I've been waiting for v-led to restock their products and even emailed them with no luck.

Yes, vleds restock some of their products. The most popular should be restocked.

I decided to make some videos since a lot of questions about color temp been asked. Because photos don't show how LEDs match low beams. There are a lot of setting in photocamera (Aperture, Shutter speed, ISO speed..) and the pics do not show how LEDs looks like and how they match other lights.

White VS Amber (5000K VS 3000K):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BdsEAeSHfF8
RIGHT - VLEDS AMBER FLANK BULBS
http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/C...00672-1-2.html
LEFT - VLEDS WHITE FLANK BULBS
http://www.v-leds.com/Interior-LED/D...25900-1-2.html
The bulbs are the same. The difference in color temperature (left 5000K, right 3000K) and in luminous intensity (left - 80 lm ; right - 40 lm).
Amber not so good for parking lights. Imho

Flank Bulbs VS Radial Firing LED Bulbs (5000K):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_XZ8AxBrq7c
LEFT - http://www.v-leds.com/Interior-LED/D...25900-1-2.html
RIGHT - http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/C...57621-1-2.html
LEFT - Total Luminous Intensity: 80 lm Viewing Angle: 120
RIGHT - Total Luminous Intensity: 50 lm Viewing Angle: 300

You can see that flank bulbs looks more BLUE then "X5 Bulbs".
So I decided to use X5 bulbs. They better match stock low beams then amber or flank white bulbs.

* This is all about how they match the stock headligths.
* If you have GARAX 6000K, they (VLEDS 5000K) should perfectly match!

Only "X5" VLEDS Bulbs

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ymAB3YSciI
Low beams - Stock Philips D4S (4300K)
Parking lights - VLEDS 5000K
http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/C...57621-1-2.html
Fog lights - VHIDS 5000K (35W HB4-9006)

( Lexus owners, please, if you have some questions don't ask them privatly, ask in the thread )

Thanks for the vids. So in the first vid, you have 5k low beams? Will the flank bulbs better match 5k low beams? Also, what is needed for the hid fogs besides the ballasts and the bulbs?

Relay harness
http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-HID/V...32086-1-3.html

All three vids are made with stock Philips 4300K in low beams.
You can find HIDs with 4300K or 5000K on EBay.

Thanks again. So in the second vid you are saying that if you get garax 6k low beam bulbs, they would match the flank parking bulbs perfectly? Your 5k fogs don't look as blue as your 4300k headlights. Is this so?

I don't know why low beams look more blue then fog lights.

VLEDS 5000K - perfect match with Garax 6000K
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-k00C3Un-dE
5000K - pure white if compare with 6000K

Renat do you have any take/opinion on those parking lights I just linked in my last post?
