Post Upgraded Brakes to 4-Piston Caliper!

Hey all had a question, I'm about to purchase the new caliper on the 07-11 GS and want to know what I really need to change aside from the rotors, brake pads. In other words do I need to change the dust shield and the brake lines, etc. please help want to purchase what I need!

Thanks in advance!

1GS 2 pot
2GS 2 pot
3GS 300 2 pot
3GS 350/430/450h/460 4 pot

The difference in size is pretty staggering and obvious. Not sure about dust shield/lines but I would think so, the brakes are substantially larger.

As 1Sick stated:

3GS 300 2 pot
3GS 350/430/450h/460 4 pot

I believe you need to change not only the calipers and rotors but the brake lines and dust shield. I can't see how the larger rotor would play nice on the smaller dust shield on the 300.

When I installed my aftermarket BBK, I just removed the dust shields, but since you're going with an OEM bigger brake you'll probably want them cause they do fit.

A word of caution: if you have a 2006 GS300 with custom wheels that were made specifically for that car you will not be able to reuse the wheels once you change the rotors without modification. The hub hat on the 2007+ GS is significantly thicker.

I purchased a set of custom wheels off of a 2006 GS300 and they would not fit on my 2007 GS350 without longer studs. I ended up selling them for a $200 loss.

Cause my dealership is only charging $456 for the dust shield and the calipers so I'd rather save the couple dollars and get it right away!

yeah I searched it was cpcalkins but he did not say whether he had changed the brake lines only that he got the full kit from Sewell Parts.

Edit: I'm a dodo bird, just re-read the post he changed everything out except the brake lines which he re-used, my fault guys, thanks GS350Lexus
