2011 GS460 Special Order Only.
Sad to see that there isn't a single GS460 available in the New York / Metro Area.
I'm getting the same, "GS460's are special order only, full price at MSRP for sale."
Seems like the minute you say GS460, North East dealers push for GS350 AWD or IS-F's.
Had no idea that the demand for the 460 is so limited.
Wonder if the allocation for GS460's are different based on region.

450h and 460 has been special order for sometime now. Also dealers that did order them previously order "safe" colors, they have always been like that. So mostly white/beige, black/beige, black/black.
Lexus has just done a poor job with marketing them. On the other hand Lexus ain't trying to lease them for $88 a month and a handjob like some other brands

...and here in the southwest, they can't find a new Smoky Granite/Grey GS350. My dealership has one GS350 on the lot, and it's a White CPO '09. The salesman said the GS is the most difficult to get. Makes me happy to have mine, but sad I can't get a new one as I would want it.

Maybe Lexus is cutting back on product based on this model's age and life cycle. It would be a smart move on their part, cutting down on the numbers that get heavily discounted once the new model debuts.
Sucks for all the sharks waiting to get a superb deal on an outgoing model.

We just bought a 2011 GS350 for my wife and I went to a few dealers in So Cal and I don't remember seeing any 460's in the showrooms or on the the lots. I did see GS450h's though. I'd think that even in So Cal the only dealer where you'd readily find a GS460 would be Longo.
At any rate the pricing and incentives are much more attractive on the 350 and the price difference for the 39 hp is not really worth it IMO considering the performance is pretty close in most respects.

I ran into the same issue when I bought my GS a few months back; no 460's to be found and tons of 300's and 350's everywhere. It worked out well though because I ended up opting for the 450h and I'm happy with my decision.
If you ask me, Lexus kind of shot themselves in the foot when they brought out the GS350
This is why I say that:
GS300 is 0-60 in 6.8 secs
GS430 is 0-60 in 5.7 secs
GS350 is 0-60 in 5.8 secs
GS460 is 0-60 in 5.4 secs
GS450h is 0-60 in 5.2 secs
The GS350 was a huge leap from the GS300 and it put it just below the 430 and 460. Don't get me wrong, I know top end wouldn't be a challenge, but most people in the market for a Lexus would rationalize buying a fully loaded 350 over a 430/460 for the price.
I'm just speculating, but from what I've seen at the various Lexus dealers I've frequented, people like us aren't really typical Lexus owners. Most people in the market for a Lexus don't consider going the VIP style route or doing performance mods to their cars. Most of the people I see at Lexus dealers are middle aged men and women looking at RX's, younger people looking at IS's, elderly women checking out the ES's, or some old rich guy looking at an LS. The GS, from what I've seen, seems to be the jack of all trades. To be honest, I don't see but maybe 3-4 GS's when I go to the dealership, and usually it'll be a used 300 and 2-3 350's.
This is just my opinion from what I've seen though.

GS460s have been tough to get since 2008. I think it is what someone wrote above...the GS350 is just a little slower than the GS460. I might have gone for a 460 but when I was looking but they only had 350s on the lot.
