When a dealer tells you "we aren't really making much money on it" they are
making plenty on it. Dealers love trade-ins, they've got the whole market rigged in their favor. Should have sold the BMW on your own. You might have gotten $19000 or so for it, according to the Edmunds TMV.
In this market who has $22000 cash. If you looked up the trade value then $19k is if the car is in perfect condition. My car wasn't in the perfect condition. I think it was reasonable. Plus where can you find a 08 gs35o for $28k? I went to other dealers and they offer a lot less.

I like it when I read about people leaving BMW to come to Lexus and enjoying the decision. Makes me feel better about choosing Lexus myself.

Congrats on the new car. Love the way your BMW looked too, nice job with that.

Lol.. I did put down a 545i. But I didn't list my car as clean. But average like I said it was. Also I live in NJ not stone mountain, ga(like your pic states). Location and condition make a big difference when trading/selling a car.

Thanks man. I was a die hard BMW fan and it was hard leaving them but I love my gs and don't regret that it at all. The only thing that drives me crazy is the noises from the dash.

Def. get the dealer on top of that now before warranty runs out. Mine has been quiet since and being in NJ too you know its been cold here which should have brought the noises out. Real test will be a another set of seasons with hot/cold expansion/contraction taking place.
