you only need to mod if you are using your stock struts, but if you go with tein , hks ..etc they have brackets for it..then no modding with be necessary
dumb question. by struts. what do you mean? the shocks?
you can put everything together as is but you will find that the car doesn't go very low without modifying the shocks, but UAS can make it go even lower by sending them your shocks and they will cut out the spring seat completely and weld on a completely new bracket and thats an option from UAS for in house modification only, hope this helps.
