i hate my GS so much. can't stand it. that's why i have a picture of it on my phone, take long roadtrips in it, spend 9 hours detailing it when the weather is nice, park several spots away from the next car in lots, don't drive her like some hormonal teenager showing off to ladyfriends, and never let anyone drive it but me or immediate family (and only if they absolutely must). *sarcasm*

how my car ranks in my life:
1. family
2. the GS
3. friends
4. girlfriends
5. anything else

This is true. I mostly come here to whine about every rattle, creak and groan. I also like to whine that the automotive press doesn't give the GS ANY props for being a very good looking car.

But forums are always usually full of people *****ing about this and that. And we all know human nature is much more likely to slow down and gawk at a trainwreck than a field of flowers.

I love my 06gs300 car. Go read the E46fanatics forum (BMW 3 series99-05) and its the same thing people only posts complaints.

I just purchased my 07' SGM |Black | GS350 | ML | Nav | and I LOVE IT!!!!! I had a 2002 GS300 and I loved it! Been in love with the Lexus brand since my 94' ES300 (when I was 16yrs) in High School. Plus...I love the looks that I get from the lady when I drive in city at night! Those city lights just bounce of my SGM paint so nice.....

I just purchased 07 GS350 as a CPO, it had 33800 miles on it and I was experiencing some rattles,a bad battery problem, a faulty low HID light bulb along with a faulty window trim that runs passenger side front windshield. Luckily I was able to have the dealer fix some of the problems under factory warranty which expired 12-26-10 just about 3wks after I bought the car. I had the dealer fix the driver side rattle and a faulty window trim but I wasn't able to fix a faulty HID light bulb on the passenger side and battery that only had 50% life through my CPO warranty since they are excluded from the warranty. My service adviser was nice enough to prorate my old battery for credit but still cost me about $170. Also I had to order those HID light bulb from Ebay because it would normally cost me $400 something dollars per piece at the dealer but at Ebay, I was able to purchase a pair for about $75 OEM Phillips D4S HID. I am kinda disappointed at the quality of these cars and still doubt about CPO inspections that they say they'd do. Today I heard the news that they would do a recall on my car due to a gas leak on the sensor. I am kinda fed up with service visits. But I would like to say this forum helps me a million.
Any similar experience?

I just purchased mine on January 11 so I have not had it very long. Mine does not have any rattles, squeaks or other issues, (knocks on wood) and it has been very cold where I live. I drive about 400 miles per week right now so I have already had a decent amount of seat time and here are my initial impressions.

1. Top notch interior fit and finish. Switchgear, etc...Love the gauges!!!
2. Very quiet ride. I will make it even quieter with Dynamat and Ensolite
3. Very compliant ride. Sort of in between a BMW and a Jaguar XJS
4. Great Engine.
5. Great gas mileage. Especially for a 4,000+ lb sedan with 300+ hp
6. AWD. Great feature, especially so far this year!!!
7. Above average factory sound system. Maybe add a 10" sub/amp.

It is not sports car quick/nimble in my opinion, but it is a great compromise of sport and luxury with an emphasis on luxury. It makes my commute to and from work less stressful because the car is so effortless and enjoyable.

I was dead set on buying a 2-3 year old Audi S4 Quattro with a 340 hp V-8, but decided on the Lexus because of the fuel efficiency of the V-6, some practicality of repair/maintenance costs and how well the car drove.

When empty, only GS450h is more than 4000 lb. No other 3GS is more than 4000 lb. (My GS350 RWD + me < 4000 lb)

But with you inside, it might be a different story.
