Just saw the commercial 20 minutes ago and happened log on and saw this thread here. LOL! I wouldn't trade my old '06 GS for two of those Chevys.

Responding to Batmans post back in January. I was looking at the pics of the GS interior and the Bentley interior and it reminded me of an observation I made several months ago on a visit to the local Bentley dealership. By the way, you're right about how the wood is sort of embedded into the design a little different than it is in the GS. There was also casual mention of the shifter gate resembling the gate from a vehicle in the Toyota line-up. Well, take a good close look at the shifter gate in the Bentley. It sure looks alot like the shifter gate straight out of the Passat. Talk about feeling like you've gotten ripped off!

Has anyone else seen that commercial from Chevy where they claim a Malubu is a better car than a Lexus GS?
About 3 weeks ago I saw a commercial from Infiniti claiming the M surpasses the GS. That was bad enough but a Malibu??? On what planet??? In what dimension??? WHat nerve!!!

haven't seen the commerial, don't care what they say. we all bought our GS for specific reasons, and those reasons don't disappear over night based on a chevy commercial.

i haven't seen the chevy commercial yet but i have seen infiniti's where they say their new M hybrid is better than the GS hybrid. these commercials just make me feel better about owning a lexus. the way i see it, if they're trying to put down the GS it means that people know we're recognized as a leader. nobody trying to make a name for themselves goes for anyone other than the person at the top.

I agree it's cool to be the target other brands aspire to but I just think Chevy has some big brass ***** to go anywhere near a Lexus.
