Question Has anyone installed JLC Reverse LED Bulbs?

I recently installed a set of V-LED Reverse bulbs on my GS, but they were too dim IMO and I could barely see the light output in the daylight which left me a bit disappointed, so I started searching online for a replacement set that would be much brighter and came across a company called "JLC Lighting" that manufactures lights that seem to blow regular LED's out of the water.

Has anyone installed these on their third gen GS? I ordered a set for my car the other day and the tracking info says they should be here later today, I'll post up my results sometime tomorrow.

Here's some pics from their website:

I got the most expensive ones that V-LEDs sells and they are damn bright. Visible in bright Florida sunlight.

Those do look interesting.
Let us know the price and the part number...
I took a quick look at the web site and didn't seen anything that looks like those.
thanks

I payed around $45 shipped and man these things are BRIGHT. I would say about 2x brighter then the V-LEDs

Aren't v-leds one 7 watts (2 watts more) and provide better light distribution? You sure you didn't get the lower end ones before?

I previously had these installed:

But as you can see the ones I posted seem to have a projector on the top of the bulbs which would make them a bit brighter then regular LED's.

why do you need to see the light output in the daylight?

So people will be blinded in the day with my reverse lights, so they will know I'm backing up!

We have reverse lights for a reason, they need to be seen in the day and night.

I think those only do 250 lumens. Their "back-up" lights do 360 lumens.

I know this is a really old thread, but just wondering if the OP (or anyone else who has installed these bulbs for their reverse lights) had to do any modifications to the bulb or the socket. I bought similar lights from ebay and I can't get them to fit in my socket. I've tried modifying the bulb base as I don't really want to make modifications to the socket. (There are two tabs on the socket on either side that serve no purpose really other than to get in the way of the bulb.)

Anyway, just wondering what, if any, mods were performed to get this to fit. Thanks!

I have these bulbs and they were a little snug but they fit, maybe the ebay ones have a slight thicker case.

The ones from ebay and the ones I saw on the JLC website are basically the same. They're all made by the same manufacturers in China.

Either way, I decided to buy some cheap LED bulbs from Dealextreme.com so I can use their bases for my Cree LED bulbs. I guess I'll find out in 3 weeks or so if I'm successful in piecing together these bulbs.

Good to know that other people have purchased the JLC bulbs and had no problems with it though.
