Colors are pretty consistent brand to brand.
I would suggest you buy from whoever will give you the best post sales service. From following the HID usage on this forum for a few years, I can tell you they are not as reliable as the OEM HIDs, and so you should be prepared to have to replace them at some point.
My recommendation to you would be to go to a local car electronics shop which has been around for a while (i.e. not going anywhere) and which offers lifetime warranty on parts and labor. This way you don't need to worry about it. Have them install it, and fix it if there are ever issues.
I wouldn't buy an expensive high end kit - my Dad has a $50 kit in his fogs and they are going strong whereas my $125 Xenondepot kit failed in 3 months. The warranty coverage and ability to have someone local take responsibility is much better.

Yes call around, read reviews on Yelp and Google Local, and find out their terms. Around here there are places doing HID fogs installed for $120 with lifetime warranty, and have good reviews.
