Default Should I buy a 2007 GS 430?

I was offered a used 2007 GS430 with only around 13k miles on it for $33k. The car is fully equipped with all the options available in that year. Is is very clean has never been in an accident.

The only thing that keeps me from buying the car is the new coming GS 4th generation. I expect to sell the car within 2-3 years and the new generation will definitely be around by the time I sell the car.

What do you expect the car's value to be in 3 years (given that the new GS generation will be introduced in 2012)?

Any pics on the car, regarding depreciation its around $2,000-$3,000 every year and I don't think the price is right for that car, is it certified cause that price seems high! Click the Link.

I think if you are looking at 2007 cars, all the competitors 2007s are already outdated - Mercedes, BMW, Infiniti, Jag. The 2007 Audi is about to be outdated, and then the GS will be last.

If you want a used car that won't be outdated soon, get the 2009 Jaguar XF - many of which are actually 2008s and will sell in mid-30s.

Is it certified at that price? if not then I would clean book is 29k (dealer trade in value)...it does have low mileage and seems clean for your post so I could see a dealer asking 33k all day long even if not CPO.

Retail Value of that car is $37,275.00 and loan value is $30,125.00.... So the asking price is very much in the park the closer to loan value you could get it though is obviously the better deal...

Also if your interested trade value is $32,800.00

07 430 is extremely rare, I think 300 or so imported. The only major add was the AAAS option.

If I liked the car, I would do it. An 07 gs430 will have the nicer screen and the proven V8 - I would love that especially in a glacier frost or white / black combo....

not exactly I heard that the 07 GS 430 has the same old 4th Gen nav in it which didn't make any sense. Really don't know what lexus was thinking at that time.

I've never heard that before. My understanding is that 07+ (regardless of which motor) have the Gen5 Navi
