This is a shot in the dark. I cannot tell from the fiches online.

Did the harness that connects the main display unit to the car change at all between the years (for example, same feature set - like non-nav/non-ml)?

I cannot think of any practical reason why it would be different, but maybe if any of you have seen the backs of both types of units (where one is the "GEN4" display and one is the "GEN5" display, regardless of navi) you could advise.

nothing really changed except probably the 2008 with the iPod aux jack everything should be the same.
