Default Where to buy replacement leather for backseat?

Hi guys,

My fking idiot wife decided to put an old car seat with many sharp legs in the backseat and now my ventilated leather seat is ripped. I tried to repair it with no luck and every time I saw that rip, it makes me very angry to the point that I point to divorce her ***. I baby this car very much and I told her many times that put a soft matt or a small blanket on the backseat before using the car seat but I guess stupidity and careless kicked in her brain. Sorry for the rants.

I need to replace the lower ventilated backseat. Those leather repair kits don't work since the leather is ventilated. Where can I buy the leather cover? Any idea is appreciated.

Thanks

Oh, it said complete. Probably just complete TOP of seat. If you still have the car seat in there, put a towel down. You wont see the rip for awhile and don't be in a hurry to get a replacement. Car is about 5 years old now, try checking with the local auto wreckers too..

I lolled at that whole post. It was kind of stupid to put a car seat in there without laying a towel or something down first, especially if you told her to do this... but mistakes happen.

I don't think you can just buy new leather for the seats, you'd have to get whole new seats (big $$$ unless you find some junkyard seats perhaps...). You may be able to take the seat to a leather worker to try to repair it. It may not end up being perfect but somebody who repairs leather for a living should be able to make it look decent.

Anyway, you should relax... if your wife is putting a car seat in your car that (may...) mean she's the mother of your child and just think about all of the things that you ripped and wore out when she had to have your baby!

Dude a new back seat will be a hell of lot cheaper than a divorce.

Popped a hole in my Driver side seat....took it to the Lexus Dealership and they called in a Leather repair guy to fix it. Maybe The Lexus Dealership in your area could do the same thing. He did a great job, looks like it never happened.

Thanks guys. The Ebay seller replied to me and told me no bottom seat inluded. So I have no luck yet. My closest Lexus dealer is around 2 hours away. My only choice now is replacing the bottom from the junk yard.
