Has anyone installed DVD screens in OEM headrests?

I have headrest monitors that are just screens, but they came in their own headrest. I have blk interior and the headrest and even stitching matched up very close. I would imagine a set of Lexus headrest will run you double what I paid for the ones with LCD screens in them. And they don t look aftermarket and hacked up cause they were retrofited.

Wonder if a reputable car stereo shop or Lexus dealer could make these work in the GS
but instead of the factory stereo system running the show, install DVD/PlayStation/etc under one/both of the seats to control the screens.

i am very sure they can, there is something somewhat similar on the ls460 forum right now

it's basically just a replacement of the seat back panel, fabricate another piece to fit, that carries the monitor.

this is probably the best looking option IMO. Our headrest are just not a good option for monitors. If you dont like this I would look at the older GS headrest or the RX300 to see if they would work. Just not sure how they would flow with the car.
The premade aftermarket ones I test fit one in my car and it looked our of place from the front. Sure it looks ok in some cars but not really in ours.
