Default 2008 GS 450h quick questions

Hello Everyone,

after owning a GS 400 for a long time, and a short stint with a 545i, i decided to go back to my true love, so i bought a 2008 GS 450h. in short i love this car.

i have some quick questions, and so while i search the forums for answers i felt i should post in the mean time.

1: how do i find the SID, or the location of sirius in this car, i have all the preview channels, etc... and MA nav system, and i would like to add this car to my account.

2: is vaistech the best way to go to unleash the real ability of this system?

any help or comments would be greatly appreciated.

As said above, and the SID, I had a problem finding that as well, first you need to tune to channel 0 and the Radio ID will display in the top right corner. Hope this is what you wanted! as for Vaistech def. get it.

Congrats!

awesome thanks for helping me out, worked like a champ, tuned to channel 0.

i think i will first go with Prestigious Society nav bypass switch, and then the Vais tech, i like the look of the bypass switch, no wire cutting just cleaner.

thanks for all your help

Try this
It's a matter of of pushing buttons.

1st - Have car off.

2nd - Have E-Brake pressed and brake pressed

3rd - While holding both petals Start the car

4rd - Keep petals pressed...Tap brake twice then hold down

5th - Do the same for E-brake Tap twice and Hold

6th - Now the brake again and now a light will turn on in the dash (Bottom Right)

The VSC is now off and the car is free* TRUST this trick is so much fun after it is off..the car is set free...

Oh ya once you turn the car off and back on the VSC is back on.

Default turn off VSC

dont you just have to have the car parked, or stopped, and hold down the VSC button for 3-5 seconds? then both lights are on, on the dash....

thanks for all your help
save the install headaches and do them both at the same time. You'll have the center stack apart and it's a great time to do everything. I did the Vais XM and iPod as well as the PS bypass in under 2 hours and that was being very leisurely.
